Plastering The Wall And Installing The Electrical Pipes | Building House In The Philippines
We've made good progress building our shed house in the Philippines. After we did the roof and building the walls, we are now able to plaster the wall, install the electrical pipes and the 2nd floor frame is now ready for the plywood flooring to be laid. We are so grateful to our hardworking workers for doing an amazing job.

It's been two months or so since we started the building of our shed house, though there were some delays because of the weather and finally, the roof and gutter are being installed. It's still a long way to finish the house but we are getting there and quite happy with our workers especially the foreman Orlan, who is really good in his field. #buildingahomeinthephilippines #aussiefilipinasimpl...

Floor Trusses Are In Place | Aussie Filipina Simple Living | Building Shed House
Переглядів 2743 місяці тому
Our shed house is mostly using steel for the frame and 2nd floor to minimise termite destruction. We've learned from our previous house and shed that are made of wood and only lasted five or so years after termites ate most of the wood. Steel trusses involve a lot of welding but we hope it is worth it to get a long life from our new building. Finally, after a few weeks of welding and fabricatin...

Since we started the building of the shed, more coco lumber has been needed. We can't keep up with the demand for the coco lumber as there has been some delays getting deliveries from our supplier. Luckily, our worker suggested to buy from the locals and they can deliver them to us. Many things amazed Ross here like these guys delivering a pile of 12 foot long coco lumber using their motorbike....

After the laying out of the shed and the house, the workers dug the holes for the footings and concrete ties ready for the form work. Our metal guy did a great job on forming the deform bars for the footings and readying for the posts to be installed. Then the concrete was poured for the first four footings. So far, we are quite satisfied with the progress of the building work. #aussiefilipinas...

But we've still managed to have enough materials on hand to keep the builders busy. #...
DEMOLISHING The Old Shed | Building House In The Philippines | Aussie Filipina Simple Living

We built the old shed about 7 years ago out of wood from our farm and neglected to put concrete at the bottom of the posts. It is made of gemilina and coco lumber which the termites love, and they've eaten out the building so much that it is ready to collapse anytime. Finally, we are now able to replace it with a better shed. Keep on following us for our building works here at the farm. #aussie...

The work looks good, however, this structure will not survive a very high wind (Typhone) or a big Earth Quake. Very tall and wide walls without any columns or bond beams ( tie beams ), the trusses look good, however, this is thin wall tubular, the trusses should have been made from 1/4" thick angle bars. Good luck.
